Monday: Get Your Run On treadmill workout, 26 pushups, and a 30-second plank for my 30-day plank challenge.
Tuesday: Steady ‘n’ Sweaty Circuit 1x and a 45-second plank
Today: A run is on the books for today. The goal is to make it outside to do 4 or so miles. That plus another 45-second plank and 30 pushups to end my pushup challenge for the second time!!
This post is a doozy. More favorites = more cool stuff for you to waste time looking at. Woooo!!!
I’m also really excited to share a review of an awesome product I was recently sent. Love when healthy eating is actually enjoyable and easy.
So without further ado…
These Are a Few of My Favorite Things
Song: 30 Seconds to Mars – Kings and Queens. The song doesn’t actually start until about the one-minute mark in the video. I’ve been in love with this track lately. Feels epic.
Cleaning Method: Pipe cleaner as a straw cleaner. I’ve always hated reusable straws because they’re a pain in the arse to clean. Well NO LONGER, MY FRIENDS. I was trying to think of SOMETHING to clean one out with and had an epiphany: pipe cleaners. I tried it out (because I randomly have pipe cleaners for some reason), and my straw was clean! Best discovery ever.
Puppy Picture: Dogs lining up in front of the stove. I find this to be the most adorable dog picture. Nothing catches their and my attention like food in the oven!
Sad Realization: I cannot recover like one. Seriously, I swear I get a hangover from no more than two glasses of wine. Sometimes I don’t even drink and get a hangover. What is going on!?!?
Quote: Talk to a two year old. Kids say the darnedest things. They also help us get some perspective on life because of their innocence, while we’re over here complaining about our responsibilities. So silly in the grand scheme of things.
First World Problem: Ingredients to make food. Story of my life. I’ve been so lazy to cook or do my usual meal planning, but all I can find are ingredients. Life is rough.
MixMyOwn Review
I was recently asked to try a MixMyOwn healthy breakfast mix, and I was more than happy to do so. I try to eat oatmeal a lot because it’s way healthier than most cereals, but I find it gets really boring. MixMyOwn is a website where you can fully customize a mixture of healthy goodness. There are sooooo many options, which I absolutely loved.
I created a mixture with…ready? Five grain oats, organic quinoa flakes, freeze dried pineapples, freeze dried bananas, organic hemp seeds, chia seeds, walnuts, cashews, organic flax seeds, sunflower seeds, organic cacao nibs, and vanilla bean. All of this added up to be $20. I just heat it up in the microwave with some milk, and it makes a delicious mesh of healthy ingredients every morning. On the package, the nutrition facts are displayed as well as the ingredients, which I thought was quite nice. It’s nice to be aware of the calories, fat, etc. for the two minutes before you stop caring (at least that’s how I roll).
The verdict? Highly recommended!! There are almost 1o0 ingredients to choose from (a tad bit overwhelming, but they’re organized well), with options that are organic, unprocessed, preservative free, sugar-free, and so on. If you’re not into the customization thing, then there are 8 premixed options you can choose from.
Disclaimer: I was sent MixMyOwn breakfast cereal for free to review. All opinions are my own.
Questions for you:
What’s your go-to breakfast? I recently ate a club sandwich for breakfast with fries. That was delicious. Besides that, I’ve been doing the cereal thing.
Do you use reusable straws? How do you clean them?
Any songs you’ve been loving lately?

I’m pretty impressed by the pipe cleaner idea. Not gonna lie, looks like a life-hack from Pinterest!

Why thank you! I feel like my life has forever changed, seeing as how I love straws so much.
