Give Thanks Circuit Workout

November 25, 2016 by Katie

Happy Friday and Day-After Thanksgiving!

I’m one of the lucky ones who got today off work to thoroughly celebrate the holiday. What will I do with my extra time? I’m not even going to lie…I fully plan to binge watch Gilmore Girls for a good chunk of today. Sooooo excited.

For some reason, on days off when I have extra time to do whatever I want, I find it extra difficult to workout because I go into lazy mode and don’t want to do anything. Today has already started off on a more active foot, though, because I busted out a 30-minute workout! I’m pretty proud of myself.

To stretch out the festive feel from yesterday, I brought out my inner poet to create an exercise-based acrostic poem. In other words, I created a circuit with exercises that all started with the letters G.I.V.E. T.H.A.N.K.S.

If you feel like “giving thanks” with this circuit, you can expect a full body workout that takes 20-30 minutes depending on how many times you repeat this. I did it thrice for a total of 30 minutes—it was a great way to wake myself up before this day started.Give Thanks Circuit Workout

Most of these exercises I’ve done before in past circuit workouts, so you can find demonstrations of them on my exercise guide. The new ones include elevated back lunges and narrow stance squats.

I figured since this holiday kind of revolves around food, a workout was more than appropriate for today’s post. We made a somewhat simple Thanksgiving dinner for ourselves yesterday which turned out pretty well.

And now to come up with new concoctions using the delicious leftovers!

How was your Thanksgiving?!

Do you usually participate in Black Friday? I’m happily avoiding any store today and possibly this weekend.
