My Favorite Things + COCOZIA Review

August 28, 2013 by Katie

Workouts

Monday: 20-minute treadmill workout + 12 pushups
Tuesday: No Equipment Needed Core & Legs Circuit 1x + 12 pushups
Today: Another treadmill run – perhaps my 30 Minutes to Speed It Up workout

T-minus ONE DAY until I see my familia!!!! That’s insane. So soon!!!! I suppose I should start packing or something. Ehhhhhhhh.

Four days in sweet home Chicago tiny town in Illinois is going to go by soooooo fast, but the hours of flying are more than worth being able to see my favorite people. Smile

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

I have some awesomeness to share with you today! Hope you enjoy things like chocolate and Justin Timberlake…Also make sure to check out my COCOZIA coconut water review!

Snack: Chocolate Avocado Fruit Dip. I’ve heard avocado chocolate mousse-type desserts, but I haven’t tried it yet. I liked the idea of an avocado-based fruit dip. Seems less scary.

VMA Performance: Justin Timberlake. Okay, so I only watched a few parts of the VMAs (unfortunately, Miley Cyrus was one of them), but hot damn! I love Justin Timberlake. You better believe I’m posting a 15-minute video of his performance. N’Sync included. Smile

Fruit Slicing Action: i shall call it… Apple Puzzle. I found this on Pinterest once upon a time and feel the need to share it with you. I prefer my apples cut up because I’m like a 5-year-old. Whatever. It tastes better somehow. What you do is cut it up and then piece it back together, and that prevents it from browning like crazy. It’s not as fresh as if it were swimming in lime juice, but it’s still much better than being thrown in a bag for later. Put a rubber band around it to keep the pieces together. Try it!

COCOZIA Coconut Water Review

I was recently sent a pack of COCOZIA coconut waters to try out, and now I am sharing my experience with you all!

COCOZIA

When I was first contacted about the water, I wasn’t sure about it because I’ve tried coconut water once and thought it was disgusting. I figured I would give it one more chance though. Unfortunately, after trying the COCOZIA brand, I’m still not a big fan. HOWEVER, I discovered something amazing about it. Add a shot of juice to it, and it becomes a super refreshing beverage. Basically, it tastes like one big juice box full of straight-up juice, but instead, it’s healthy coconut water with an added flavor boost (and very little sugar from the added juice – aka it’s greatest downfall).

Overall verdict for coconut water? I don’t like it plain.

Overall verdict for COCOZIA? 1. I love juice boxes, so that’s cool. 2. There’s a large area to puncture with the straw—aka you can mix stuff IN the box. 3. It’s hella good when you add a tiny bit of extra flavor. I’m just not that into coconut water in general.

I still have some juice water boxes left, and I’m thinking I’ll get crazy and try it in a mojito. Coconut water just seems like a great way to healthify some regular beverages without making them taste completely watered down. I like treating it as more of a base for a drink, but that’s just me.

Thanks again COCOZIA people for sharing your healthy goodness! I definitely recommend it if you’re into the coconut water. Otherwise, I suggest you try mixing things with it—it’s pretty refreshing.

Disclaimer: I was sent COCOZIA coconut water for free to review; all opinions are my own.

Questions for you:

Are you a coconut water fan?

What’s the craziest thing you’ve made with avocados? Guacamole is the craziest thing I’ve done with it…

Did you watch the VMAs? More importantly, Backstreet Boys or N’Sync? BSB all the way for me.

I don’t know if it was the fact that the first time I tried coconut water it was during my prep day before an endoscopy and colonoscopy, but it was the worst liquid I ever tasted! I had to spit it out! I thought it would taste like coconut but it tasted like bacteria-filled expired…water, haha! I don’t know how to describe it. I have been scared to try it again ever since 😛

Haha so descriptive. It’s definitely different, but like I mentioned, it’s way better mixed!
