A Few of My Favorite Things

May 1, 2013 by Katie

Workout

Yesterday: Dumbbell Circuit because I haven’t done it in awhile. Love that muscle burn.

Today: 30 Minutes to Speed It Up treadmill workout. Pretty excited because I kind of love this workout.

Happy May Day!

Apparently on this day we’re supposed to celebrate the return of spring. In response to this, I vote we all go outside to smell some flowers and soak up some glorious spring warmth, assuming there’s warmth and flowers where you are…

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

Summer Sangria – I don’t think I’ve ever had legitimate sangria before. I realize this is with white wine, but it still looks refreshing and delicious. I’m thinking I’ll have to try it sometime. Plus, it has a bunch of fruit in it, so it must be healthy, right?

Who does Google think I am? – We found this at work last week and thought it was pretty funny. We write about the healthcare industry, which led to Google thinking one of the guys at work was a middle-aged woman—probably has something to do with him searching plastic surgery procedures often. ‘Twas funny. It’s actually pretty accurate for me though. Click on the image below to take you to the site.

Cinnamon Bun Smoothie – The name alone intrigued me with this recipe. Then I look at the ingredients and got pretty excited. Most are things I have on hand (i.e. bananas, almond milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and maple syrup), so it’s sounds like an amazing smoothie/milkshake concoction I could easily make!

San Diego Padres Squirrel – At the Padre’s baseball game we went to Saturday, they had a random event happen. A guy was supposed to race a “squirrel” across the field to win something. So, a guy started sprinting across the field, and then out of nowhere a guy dressed as a squirrel was sprinting like crazy, ultimately catching the other guy and winning. It was bizarre yet hilarious at the time. So funny thinking a guy gets paid to do that.San Diego Squirrel

Bulu Box – I received this month’s Bulu Box of goodies a week or two ago and am just now reviewing it. Basically, I just wanted to say that the XyloBurst Gum is my favorite part. It’s green tea flavored, which I thought would be nasty, but it’s actually good. The gum is sweetened with xylitol which apparently has 40% fewer calories than sugar and prevents cavities. I’m already a gum-a-holic, so I’m all about a cavity-preventing type. Also pictured is EBoost Natural Energy, Barleans’s Omega Swirl, Neo-Chill, CocoaVia, and Real Food Barre. The only other items I’ve tried is the CocoaVia and Real food Barre. I’m a fan of both. Love the natural ingredients! If you’d like a one-month subscription to Bulu Box for free or $10 off your purchase, use the code BULUGAN866.

Questions for you:

Is it springy where you live?

What’s the tastiest smoothie you’ve ever had?

Who does Google think you are? Is it somewhat accurate?

That’s weird about Google. I never knew that. Google is right on who I am, except it thinks my interests are banking. Um, no.

Thanks for sharing that smoothie. Must try! It’s springy where I live, thank goodness. I wore a skirt today!
