This morning I died a little inside, over a 2 hour and 4 minute period. I went for my long run this week—a.k.a. 13 miles, and holy wow…it was difficult. I was way too aware of how many miles I had ahead of me, and it caused the whole run to be frustrating and seem extremely long. Of course I was happy I finished it though.
Since I got back, I’ve been in recovery mode. In Katie terms this means watching a lot of TV, and when I have to get up, it means walking like an old man without his cane. I want to say I’m thankful I don’t have anything significant to do today, but I have a feeling being forced to move and go places would help me suck it up faster. First world problems, I tell you—so complicated.
As I have channeled my inner Maria and found some of my favorite things from this past week, I came up lacking. I throw all the blame on Pinterest and not having as many exciting things as usual.
Hope you enjoy the few that I found!
Song Ho Hey by The Lumineers. Ya, I’ve listened to this song about 5,000 times in the last week. It pleases me, to say the least.
Logic 27 Reasons Why Kids Are Actually the Worst. My sister put this on her Facebook, and I found it hilarious. It’s a collection of pictures and videos of why kids are apparently the worst.
Pandora Station Pink Moon by Nick Drake. It plays a lot of classic rock and mellow tunes. I find it highly enjoyable. And now you can see my millions of random stations I never delete on the side. Good times.
Sweet Indulgence Caramel Toffee Dip. This looked good, but then I looked at the recipe and was all “oh ma damn.” So much yes.
Perspective My favorite day. I wish I thought this way most of the time, but I’m guilty of living for tomorrow.
Beverage Apple Cider Float. So, I pinned this awhile ago on Pinterest, but I don’t think I actually realized how utterly fantastic it sounds. Sign me up.
Style Lace Dress. First of all, I’m obsessed with this color. Second, I wish I was this classy.
