Happy Thanksgiving Week!
Let the overeating…I mean…“responsible” eating begin! I’m pretty pumped to cook up some goodness later this week. I think I even prefer it to actually eating all the goodness. I’m sorry—I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Maybe I’ll change my mind when I see the beautiful pile of food on my plate on Thursday.
What Happened This Weekend
I did absolutely nothing worth noting. It was quite uneventful, yet I guess nice since it was considered “the weekend.” I know what you’re thinking…what an efficient update, Katie! I know, I know. I do my best.
Today’s Workout
Ran 9 miles / 1:21 – It was an amazing 53-degree, partly cloudy run, and you bet I spent some glorious time stretching afterwards!
Oh, and I took a picture of myself because I feel like that’s what I’m supposed to do on this blog.
Today
I’ve been writing some articles for a freelance assignment, and I feel good being done with my goal for the day. Now I’m enjoying an episode or 4 of Friends.
It’s like my treat for finishing my work everyday. Makes me so happy, even if I have seen every episode 5,000 times.
Now, going back to my run this morning.
My New Tan Line
I’ll finally share with you the weirdest tan line I have ever gotten. I’ve noticed it a lot lately, but I’m pretty sure it just keeps getting worse.
I know—I’m pretty much a sexy beast with my elbow pit tan line. It’s okay to be jealous.
The amount of time I run during each excursion these days has caused me to receive such a tan line. I have my arms bent for about an hour or two at a time, so I guess it makes sense that this would happen. I’ve just never seen or heard of this happening to someone.
I now have tan lines from my running shorts, my running shoes, my GPS watch, and bending my arms. I’m quite colorful and have learned to embrace the insanity.
What’s the weirdest tan line you’ve ever had?
Elbow pit wins for me.
Do you have a favorite Friends episode? Favorite character?
They all make me happy, but I really like the newer ones because I haven’t seen them as many times. And Chandler and Joey are probably my favorite characters. Their mannerisms crack me up, especially towards each other.
What’s the best part of Thanksgiving in your opinion?
It’s an excuse to gather family and make an excessive amount of yummy food!
All Seasons Cyclist says
This past spring I had an even weirder tan line. I did a century bike ride on a sunny 55-degree day while wearing cycling knickers. The area between my ankles and mid-calf was bright red while everything else was snow white (I live north of Chicago and that day was the first time my legs had received direct sunlight in nearly six months).

Haha well that’s unfortunate. Guess we just have to learn to live with the weird side effects that come with our favorite activities!
