While I believe you shouldn’t live for Fridays, I have to admit…I’m pretty stoked the weekend starts SOON. It’s been a loooong week for me mentally, especially the past couple days. Because of this, I’ve started doing something I haven’t done in awhile: read through a bunch of inspirational quotes for a mental pick-me-up.
Over the past couple years, I’ve found that reading thought-provoking quotes is one of the most powerful ways I can force some positivity into my brain and sometimes just…get me through the rest of the day—#TGIF. There have been many mornings and afternoons when I just go on Pinterest and browse through my “Words” board or look for new motivation. It always helps somehow.
Since these quotes have such a shockingly large impact on my mood some days, I’ve decided to start dedicating the occasional post to them. I think they’ll be a nice burst of inspiration for myself and anyone reading. 🙂
So, moving forward, you’ll be seeing brief posts that are centered around a quote—some serious, some silly, others somewhere in the middle. I’ll be sharing these quotes on days when I really resonate with the words. Hopefully you’ll connect with them every once in awhile, too, and they’ll inspire you to reflect with me.
Here’s today’s:
I found this one a few days ago, and it really spoke to me because I’ve been dwelling on a few frustrating things lately, rather than making an effort to make them better. I love the concept of putting all of your energy into moving forward—basically just accepting what is and creating change by focusing on what we want instead.
This kind of reminds me of how everything sucks for a lot of people lately. So! as this week comes to close, I vote we stop stressing about life and start thinking about how we can create a better future for ourselves.
Ready? Break!
