According to the countdown on the side of my page, I have 18 days until my marathon. Can I get a bloody hell!?
Workout
The plan is to run around 9 miles today in the early afternoon because 1. I don’t feel like it right now and 2. I have the time later so why not? After Sunday’s run, I’m trying not to beat myself up too much about not meeting the crazy long mileage goals of my training. Yes, the race is coming up, but worrying about it isn’t going to help. Therefore, I shall go day by day and pray I survive the race!
Being chill about these things makes life much better. Try it out sometime if you aren’t already a chill person. I just hope I can maintain my chillness as the race gets closer and closer. Oy vey…
I’m excited to stop obsessing over the race, and I’m sure you’re excited for me to stop talking about it nonstop. Soon, Friends. Soon.
In the mean time, these are a few of my favorite things. I haven’t spent a lot of time on Pinterest lately–what with moving across the country and all–so I don’t have much to share with you today.
But here they are!
Cute Picture Cone for Two. This picture makes me smile every time I look at it. So precious.
Luxury A Working Laptop. I talked about it in last Friday’s post how my laptop has been on the fritz lately. Well yesterday, I took it to Best Buy to work their magic on it (it’s still under warranty). The screen light hasn’t been working, so I can’t read anything that’s on it. Of course when the guy started it at the store, it turned on just fine. Funny how that works out…And yes, the picture is of me writing this post. I’m on Matt’s MacBook again. I’m slowly getting the hang of this Mac thing.
Product Discovery Toll House Dark Chocolate Chips. I’ve never seen these before even though they’ve apparently been out for awhile. Like I’ve mentioned before, I love using Ghirardelli’s 60% Cacao Chocolate Chips for baking and other things, but I found these babies at the store yesterday and was really excited. They’re not quite as dark as the Ghirardelli chocolate option, but they’re also about half the price. So, I bought these and came home all ready and excited to make some chocolate chip cookies only to realize we were out of flour. It was so sad. You don’t even understand. Instead, I had chocolate chip pancakes for lunch (still struggling with getting back on the healthy train…) Uhoh. Now I’ve remembered there are chocolate chips in the house. The day just got dangerous.
What are your favorite type of chips to use in cookies? Semi-sweet? Milk? Dark? White? Butterscotch? Other?
Do electronics hate you as much as mine hate me?
Anything you have been especially loving lately?

Umm heart shaped carrots? YUM! I eat carrots like it’s my job so that is awesome! Also, dog with the cone? Precious. Mine always looks so helpless when she’s wearing it. Adorable in a sad sort of way.

I love the carrot idea, though it reminds me of Mr. Hall. The world history class that I learned very little about world history, but I learned how to make designs in mushrooms and how to cut carrots properly.

I never had him in high school, and I’m pretty sure I’m thankful for that. You should make some veggie art and show off your skills sometime! I’m intrigued.
