My Favorite Things

March 13, 2013 by Katie

1. Happy Hump Day!

2. The blue Tootsie Pops are the best kind, and that’s a fact.

3.  Bailey’s is really good in coffee. I discovered this last night.

Workout

Ran 5.02 miles at I have no idea what time or pace. The last 3.02 miles were done in 27:34 though. I forgot to stop the GPS watch while waiting at a stoplight, so my time was screwed up. I just restarted so I’d at least know my pace for the last part of my run.

Now onto the good stuff…

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

Workout Advice 13 Smart Ways to Boost Workout Intensity. There’s some good stuff in here! I always love Greatist lists. I’ve found so many relevant and interesting ones. A few of the ways in this list are Aim for Failure, Get Explosive, Skip the Machines, etc. There’s some good advice in the list!

Saying Ask the right questions. I wholeheartedly believe this. Sometimes you may not realize how interesting people are until you talk and learn more about them.

Healthy Popular Smoothie Skinny Shamrock Shake. Monica posted this on her blog, and I’m definitely going to make it soon. I absolutely love that the green color comes from spinach. It makes too much sense to do that instead of green food coloring.

Motivational Quote Even if you suck. Let’s be honest here, we’re not always the best at things. Sometimes you should just do it anyways.

Smart Snack Cookie Dough Greek Yogurt. What the eff!? Apparently you just add 1 tbsp nut butter, 1 tbsp sweetener, 1 tbsp mini chips, and 1/4 tsp vanilla to Greek yogurt. I tried this yesterday, and it’s actually pretty good. I used 0% Greek yogurt too. There’s a big difference between 0% and 2%. The fact that it was good in 0% is amazing to me.

Math Dessert Pi Pie. Guess what tomorrow is. Pi Day! I find 3.14 amusing for some reason. If I was more motivated, I might make pie or go all out and make this beauty, buuuuuuuuuut that’s not gon’na happen. The thought of cutting out all those numbers makes me angry. You should do it though. And send me a picture. Because I’d be impressed.

What’s your favorite kind of pie? I’m all about the blueberry.

Do you suck at a sport but just do it anyways? Whenever I suck at sports, I tend to hate them. Then again, running definitely sucks sometimes, but I still do it. Hmm…

I always get a kick out of your favorites posts 🙂

    I love the Nike saying!

So, I tried that cookie dough Greek yogurt too, but I wasn’t impressed. I ended up adding way more vanilla and peanut butter to make it how I liked. So it wasn’t really healthy anymore… I dunno. It just seemed off to me.

I actually just had some apple pie last night, which is odd because I never have pie. I love pumpkin pie the most.

For the cookie dough yogurt, maybe it’s just extra special for me because I don’t usually have flavored yogurts. And I’m glad you enjoy the randomness. 🙂
