Make Some Noise for Illinois–Photos from the Weekend

September 2, 2013 by Katie

I’m just popping in today to share some pictures from my absolutely amazing weekend at home in Illinois. At the moment, I’m bonding with the family, so this is going to be quick. I present to you…my weekend in pictures:

It started with my flight, where I took a creeper shot of the empty seat between me and the man in my row. It was awesome.

I came home to my dad’s beautiful collection of cereals. Heaven.

We traveled Friday to my grandparents’ houses. This is my sweet grandmother and the delicious peach pie she made us. Smile

The next day I went for a 4-mile run and almost died. I’m so horrible at running anything above 3 miles these days. It’s so sad.

It has rained/stormed twice since I got home so I was quite excited for that…seeing as how it never rains in San Diego.

Saturday was a fiesta! I finally got to meet my friend’s adorable son Finn!!!!!! And see lots of friends.

That night we made some s’mores and hung out around a campfire. Pretty sure I still smell like it.

Sunday, we traveled to my sister’s house and stopped at her school so we could see her 4th grade classroom!

And today, we’re headed home so I can pack my things up. Guess that means I won’t be surrounded by corn fields anymore.

I’m headed to home to San Diego this evening, so I’ll be zombie-like all day for work tomorrow. All the sleep deprivation and busyness was well worth the fun that was had and all the people that I was able to see.

How was your weekend?!

P.S. My brother-in-law wants the world to know he is the mastermind behind the title of this post. He’s just so clever with his rhyming.
