Making salad dressings from scratch is my jam. I’ve got some staple recipes down, and I keep finding more I want to try!
Why not just buy salad dressing at the store and save myself the effort? Because I like the endless possibilities of throwing my own together, as well as having complete control over what goes into them. Plus, I love variety, so I’d rather make small portions of my favorites, rather than have about 10 bottles taking up valuable real estate in our fridge.
I have a lot of sweet-based recipes (because my sweet tooth is demanding), so moving forward, I really want to try more savory options. Those would especially go well with random macro bowl combinations I throw together.
Although I don’t have a massive collection of homemade dressings quite yet, I absolutely love the ones I’ve perfected (and make most of them frequently). They’re usually paired with one of my go-to salad recipes, but they’re also pretty versatile too.
Anytime I have one of these prepared and stashed in the fridge, I’m much more excited about salads and tend to eat them every day until the dressing’s gone! (That’s how this past week’s been with the poppyseed dressing below.) I hope to add to this list soon, but for now there’s a decent selection of options.
