Green Juice

December 24, 2018 by Katie

Fuel your body and give your immune system a boost by making this green juice that’s packed with fruits and veggies.

I’ve talked about juicing here and there over the past couple years, but I haven’t actually made it for myself until this past year (due to just recently getting a juicer). Although I don’t make juice more than once every couple weeks, I always feel great after doing it. From feeding my body a boatload of vitamins and minerals to simply knowing I’m making a healthy choice, I think juicing can be a great supplement to a nutritious diet. And yet…at the same time, I don’t think it’s necessary at all. If you prefer making a smoothie (check out my Ultimate Green Smoothie) or just eating your veggies, you do you!

The thing about juice, though, is I’m pretty much ALWAYS in the mood for it. Smoothies, on the other hand, I don’t always have an appetite for. So if you’re anything like me, making the occasional juice recipe can be a great option.

I wanted to share this green juice recipe today because we’re just at the start of the winter season, which means it’s cold and our immune systems are weaker than normal. With all the germs everywhere and people getting together during the holidays, I thought this was a great time to share a recipe that’s absolutely PACKED with goodness. Due to the superfood-quality ingredients in this recipe, you can be happy with yourself when making this because you’re about to consume nutrients like the following: vitamins A, C, and k; iron; folate; zinc; magnesium; calcium; and fiber.

As it works to nourish your body and boost your immune system, it’s like a gift that keeps on giving. And if you want to share this juice with someone, but don’t feel like doubling the already large amount of produce needed, you can easily make this go farther by adding some filtered water to it. Obviously this will also dilute the amount of nutrients in each serving, but considering it has such a high amount, you’re still doing your body a huge favor.

Pro tip: if you don’t own a juicer, you can still make this by following the instructions in my How to Juice Without a Juicer post.
