Try this infused water recipe that combines fresh cucumber, lime, and mint for a flavorful, sugar-free drink to stay hydrated.
If you’re trying to be healthier, drinking more water is, by far, one of the easiest acts you can do. Hydration is so unbelievably important to help you look and feel good. I haven’t been as good about drinking a lot of water lately, so I put together a pitcher of ice cold water with three fresh ingredients: cucumber, lime, and mint. We have a lime tree (best plant EVER), but it’s being stubborn and hasn’t produced any limes yet this year. We also have fresh mint growing in our backyard, though, and THAT is flourishing (like usual…because it’s an insane plant).
Since lime is one of my most favorite flavors ever, and mint is readily available and also amazing, I wanted to combine them for a way to jazz up my water. Add cucumber for that classically mild touch, and you’ve got a hella refreshing beverage in front of you.
I have a 64-ounce pitcher that I filled with water, then added about 10 massive mint leaves, 10 cucumber slices (I left the skin on, but that’s only because I’m lazy; peel at your heart’s content), and a small lime’s worth of citrus slices. Let it all set in the fridge for about an hour, if not overnight, for the flavors to mingle. And BOOM, you’ve got a crisp, flavorful glass of green-infused goodness in front of you.
Ingredients:
- 64 oz. water
- 10 slices cucumber
- 1 small lime, sliced
- 10 mint leaves
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients in pitcher. Refrigerate 1 hour to overnight.
Hydration made easy. Aww yiss.
