Almond Oatmeal Cookies

September 25, 2017 by Katie

Almond Oatmeal Cookie Recipe

Mix up the classic oatmeal cookie recipe by adding almond flavor for a boost of nuttiness and nutrients. Growing up, I probably made oatmeal cookies more than any other type of cookie because they were my dad’s favorite. I’d usually add chocolate chips to half the batch for myself (shocker), but these days, I love…

Pumpkin Banana Ice Cream

Dive into the fall season with this pumpkin-based banana ice cream recipe, topped with pecans for the perfect autumn treat. The time has come to consume an excessive amount of pumpkin—and by pumpkin, I mean pumpkin-flavored foods and drinks that often don’t even contain much pumpkin. Since I’m one of those crazies who wants summer…

Make dessert a little bit healthier by whipping up a batch of this rich chocolate pudding made with avocado as its creamy base and natural sweeteners to satisfy your sweet tooth. Make strawberry shortcake a little bit healthier with the help of Greek yogurt and coconut oil for a slightly more nutritious, yet still delicious, cupcake recipe. Chewy Coconut Oatmeal Cookies

June 17, 2016 by Katie

Using coconut oil and shredded coconut, this recipe takes oatmeal cookies to the next level for a flavorful, chewy dessert you can’t get enough of. I’m a strong advocate for chocolate chip cookies. In fact, I rarely make cookies without using chocolate chips. They’re basically the point of cookies to me – that is, most…

Apple Nachos with Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Coconut

May 9, 2016 by Katie

Make dessert a little healthier by creating a sweet nacho-inspired dish out of apple slices. Top with chocolate, peanut butter, and coconut for a gourmet treat! I don’t know who invented “apple nachos,” but I love that person. The gist of apple nachos is basically just…making “chips” out of apple slices, and topping them with anything…

Make breakfast a little sweeter by sprinkling brown sugar on top of grapefruit halves and broiling until you have a bubbling and warm bowl of citrus! Sometimes, the simplest foods are the best foods. December 4, 2015 by Katie

These raw chocolate chip cookies are filled with almond and coconut flavors for a healthy dessert you can’t get enough of! Confession: If I know a dessert is legit healthy, I don’t view it as a dessert–I see it as more of a snack. That’s my beef with today’s recipe. I made a no-bake version…

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

With so many cookie variations out there, it can be hard to pick a favorite. If I had to choose, though, I think it would be chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. Chocolate chip cookies are all fine and dandy, but there’s just something about the addition of oatmeal that I love. I guess it’s the gooey…
