We had a fun-filled, touristy weekend with my sister and brother-in-law. I’m just dropping in to share about 500 pictures, and by 500 I mean 14. Hope you enjoy them!
Friday
Saw and smelled some seals.
Made friends with some squirrels.
Played in the water – or, the boys did. Not quite sure what they’re doing here.
Met up with a cousin for dinner and introduced the siblings to the craft beer scene.
Saturday
Went to the San Diego farmer’s market, where John and Matt ended up catching a girl who fainted. Eeeee. She’s good now—I think.
Later, had a lovely coffee date with the sister. P.S. The Coffee Bean makes really good vanilla lattes.
Eventually, did dinner at a pretty cool restaurant called Barleymash. Check it out.
Enjoyed the Blackhawks win again. Mwahaha.
Went to a bar afterwards and played some intense Jenga.
Sunday
Went to the beach too early because it was super windy and cold.
Ended up walking around and getting some candy for a second breakfast because we like sugar.
Wandered some more.
Saw some creatures!
Overall, it was a great weekend and felt amazing to spend some quality time with two of my favorite people.
They leave tonight, but I’ll be doing my best to convince them to just stay all summer since they’re both teachers and don’t have to go back to school till August.
Wish me luck!

Haha ya, I’m not always into Jenga because it freaks me out, but I discovered a new strategy that seemed to work really well: pick an outside piece, commit, and yank it out super fast. I flung it against the wall, but I never made the stack fall! Try it out next time.
