A Few of My Favorite Things

Throughout this wedding planning chaos, I’ve learned a little something about myself: I’m an organization junkie.

Straight up, I’m obsessed with being organized, especially regarding schedules. You should see my Gmail calendar. I’m so proud of how beautifully informative it is. And all the spreadsheets I’ve created to stay on task for the wedding planning? It’s out of control, guys. I think I’ve found my calling in life. But not really because I don’t know what to do with this newfound love.

If you have any ideas, please let me know. The satisfaction I get from setting up schedules and organizing various details of life make me scary happy. I was ranting to Matt last night about how proud I am of all the details I’ve put together for us, and I could almost hear the crickets chirping. Haha. Guess not everyone takes as much pleasure out of calendar setups and figuring these details out.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

Knope for President – This is for my fellow Parks & Recreation lovers. My lovely coworker exposed this work of art recently, and I fell in love with it. Forget all those other crazy candidates…here’s a duo I can get behind. The shirt’s $15 on GroupOn here (edited to add: apparently it’s not available as of this morning??) if you’re interested.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – I’ve had this show recommended to me by several people, and this past weekend I finally decided to watch it…binge watch it, that is. I love this woman and this show. The theme song is permanently stuck in my head, and I’m addicted. The fact season two comes out in a month is kind of perfect. I highly recommend it!

Otter Box Defender Series Phone Case – I’ve mentioned my clumsiness in the past, but when it comes to nice things, I somehow become more clumsy. It’s a real problem. So when I got my first fancy smartphone a couple years ago, we made sure to get a legit case for me. Just yesterday, as I basically chucked my phone on the ground trying to catch it, I was reminded once again how absolutely amazing my Otter Box case is. I’m pretty sure I bought it for like $50 at Walmart when I got it, but you can find it on Amazon here for $28 if you also happen to own a Samsung Galaxy 5S. It has saved my nice phone more times than I’d like to admit.

Family Command Center – This is something I’ve been thinking about doing for awhile. Items like mail, keys, and the like tend to wind up in a pile of clutter, so an organized command center like this beautiful setup just seems like common sense. I will make this happen. Check out the details here.

Raspberry Almond Cream Scones – Do you ever come across food pictures online and just stop to stare? This happened to me with this scone recipe. It looks and sounds like perfection. I’ve made scones maybe once? in my life, but that was a long time ago. This is definitely happening ASAP. Check out the tempting recipe to see the deets.
