I fear that winter is fast approaching.
Cold weather is all fine and dandy when I’m not training for a marathon. I’m just hoping when I do my 16- and 20-mile runs it’s not miserable outside. Eeeeeeeeeee…Guess I’ll just have to deal!
I was just thinking how wonderful it will be to do whatever I want to workout and not have a designated run to do everyday. This long-term goal reaching thing isn’t my favorite, I’ve discovered. I like to set the goal and just do it. You marathoners out there are crazy—in such a good way. I don’t know if I could train for marathon after marathon. Maybe you just get used to it.

Today, I’ll be running 12 miles in the early afternoon when it’s warmest—aka 40 degrees. I can definitely deal with this temperature. It’s 30 and below that worries me (especially when it gets under 20 degrees).
Until I have to cope with the freezing temperatures, I’ll continue to distract myself with the wonderful things I find on the internet.
Favorites from the past week:
Song Stars by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. I first heard this song on The Voice and absolutely loooooooooooved it.
List 56 Things to Do Instead of Spending Money. I absolutely love this. Lots of creative ideas! Not sure if I’ll be going dumpster diving or having a potluck today, but perhaps I’ll write a letter or go through some clothes to donate!
Old Men 85-Year-Old Best Friends. I can only hope I have a crazy friendship like this when I’m that old.
Explanation Burned the House Down. Over-exaggeration of spider scenarios never get old. This makes sense to me!
Hope you’re all having a wicked Wednesday!
Anything awesome that you’ve discovered recently?

I like the song. Alex’s band plays a few Grace Potter and the Nocturnals’ songs. We heard one while Christmas shopping and Alex was so happy (even though we were in Maurices) you would have thought it was his own band playing.

Bahaha cute. I haven’t heard a lot of Grace Potter and the Nocturnal’s music, but the few songs I have heard I really like.
