So this one time I talked about a new healthy habit I was going to adopt.
Ya, that died.
I highly enjoy fruit in water, but it’s too much effort to do on a regular basis.
I’ve got a newer new healthy habit now. It’s called tea—an excessive stash of tea in my desk at work. I’ve got about 4 different kinds so far. I’m hoping to acquire more for an exciting variety. I usually just drink green tea, but I’m mixing it up these days and getting pretty crazy with my Samurai Chai blend from Teavana that Matt got me 2 years ago.
You see, tea helps me refrain from excessive snacking. I’m thinking I need more exciting flavors, though, as to not get burnt out on this. (It’s also a great heater when people turn the a.c. on when it should definitely not be on. Just saying.)
My problem with tea is that it takes me FOREVER to finish it. Some of the tea I have at my desk I got for my 21st birthday…3 1/2 years ago. Like…I drink expired tea. That’s not easy to do. It’s tea.
I think drinking approximately 2-4 mugs of tea a day (I reuse the bag a couple times) will help me get through my collection. Plus, tea is crazy healthy, so I like to think I’m being proactive towards a healthy body by consuming the hot beverage.
So there’s that.
Now onto favorites. I love these weekly posts because…
- I gradually add to them all week.
- They’re random, which works out well for my distracted mind.
- I get to share some awesomeness without organizing some sort of theme to the post. Hopefully, a few of you people enjoy them.
These Are a Few of My Favorite Things
Quick Crescent Baklava. Remember that one time I obsessed over baklava from Luna Grill? Well I found this recipe recently and started mentally drooling.
Be Confident. Best advice ever.
Style. There’s just something about the Pinterest “Women’s Fashion” category that keeps me entertained for way too long. This is one of the many outfits that I’d be okay with rocking—even though white pants scare me because I am professional food and drink spiller.
Credit Card Reader. I’ve never actually bought Girl Scout cookies (I blame Matt for my Girl Scout cookie consumption), but I know danger when I see it. We were actually just talking about this in Vegas. Someday, slot machines will accept credit cards, and I fear what this will do to people.
On that note, stay tuned for Friday for my Vegas recap!! I have a story. It involves lost sanity and discounted show tickets.
Have an awesome Wednesday!

I live for tea! I drink multiple cups and day and go through it really quickly haha! I also drink my cups in like 2 minutes…which makes me just need more haha!

Haha nothing wrong with that!

Thumbs up for the tea-drinking, especially the green tea is a great choice. My personal favorite so far is vanilla flavored black tea. That thing is just amazing!
And I totally hear you about Pinterest, too. I’m pretty sure that’s made to entertain women and inspire them to take more interest in girly stuff, haha. At least that’s the effect it has on me.
Have a great day!

Vanilla black tea sounds intriguing! I’ll be on the lookout for it.

I don’t drink tea and most probably because of what my mom’s friend told her. Her friend had kidney stones in one of her kidneys and then she had to surgically get it removed or else it would damage her kidneys and might complicate with other organs. Mo mother saw the kidney stones because her friend kept it. Anyways, my mom’s friend that the cause of the stones to form in her kidney was tea. Her doctor said that drinking tea from a teabag is not ideal because it leaves a residue that the kidney can’t fully disintegrate thus forming of a stone in the kidney. I haven’t verified its medical facts yet. I just thought I should share in case anyone here knows it to be true or a myth.

That’s so interesting. I’ve never heard that before. Whether it’s fact or fiction, I guess it’s motivation to look for loose-leaf tea — maybe that will make a difference? Thanks for sharing!
