A Few of My Favorite Things

November 14, 2012 by Katie

I’m excited!

Yesterday, I bought some new running clothes for the colder running weather. I bought the jacket, capris, and then a pair of pants. I don’t buy workout clothes very often, even though I absolutely love them so I’m pretty pumped. Marshalls for the win!

I am currently waiting for the sun to heat the day up a bit, so I can go run a 12-miler and not freeze my face off. It’s already 40 degrees, so I’m quite pleased with the day so far. Today’s the first long run in my switched up running plan! I’m excited to only run just under 2 hours instead of 2 1/2. It makes a big difference. That probably sounds ridiculous to some of you, but going from 16 back down to 12 miles is going to be awesome. Since I’m not running as far, I’ll be working on getting a better time though. We’ll see how that goes.

And now onto my favorites from the past week:

Dessert Berry {Quick and Easy} Layered Cake. It’s so simple, but it sounds and looks so goooood. The recipe uses a jar of lemon curd whipped with light cream cheese on a split angel food cake and fresh lush berries.

Truth Chocolate Understands.

Food Tips 55 Ways to Use Leftover Apples. Who knew there were so many possibilities?! This is definitely worth checking out. My favorite way to use apples is through Apple Crisp, but I may need to expand my mind. I love lists and this one is quite impressive, I must say.

Meme Decorating Cakes. Because that makes perfect sense. I thought it was kind of funny while watching the movie, but seeing it in picture form is hilarious to me.

Salad Dressing Marzetti Honey French. I’ve been obsessed with this stuff lately. I put it on all my salads. Okay, so it’s not the healthiest option, but oh man it’s good. I’d DEFINITELY recommend it.

Relatable Post So is a grenade. People just don’t understand sometimes…

Song Take a Walk by Passion Pit.

Mindset “Start Each Day Like It’s Your Birthday.” If I thought like this, I’d be such an optimistic person. There’s just something about the morning of your birthday that makes you feel good. It’s your day, and you’re the rockstar.

Song—Take 2 Good Girl by Carrie Underwood. I wanted to refrain from putting two songs, but I couldn’t help it. As of about 3 hours ago, I’m in love with this song. I don’t like country music much, but I enjoy some Carrie Underwood from time to time. The chorus is what sells me on this song.

What have you been loving lately?
