Yesterday started with me questioning a decision I keep making: going for a run with my much-faster boyfriend.
I’m quite proud of myself because I ran 5 miles with lots of hills. It was difficult (and my form was all over the place), but alas! I finished those dreadful miles and even sprinted by the end. Nothing beats the feeling after a hard run.
After our run, I made some his and hers recovery chocolate milks and forced the boy to stretch because he thinks he’s too good for stretching or something.
Since I had been productive all morning prior to that run, we had a freshly baked loaf of Greek Yogurt Banana Bread. I decided to mix things up a bit and added something I’m not sure if I should have added…dark chocolate chips.
I keep hearing about banana bread with chocolate chips, and I finally gave in and tried it out. Just as I guessed, they took the bread to a whole other level.
Heaven. The level was heaven.
I’m calling this a dangerous discovery because now I realize how much better banana bread is with chocolate. Let’s face it, though, most things can be improved with a bit of chocolate.
Are you good at making your stretch? Or do you tend to skip it?
What’s your favorite food to add chocolate to?

I’ve become a believer in stretching since I came down with plantar fasciitis and IT band injuries. Power yoga/ yoga for runners is now my way of life. My running has improved and I’m running injury free. I used to stress about the extra time it took to stretch but it’s too valuable not to.
Here’s are some yoga routines I’ve been using: http://blog.walkjogrun.net/walkjogrun-guide-yoga-for-runners/
I hope this others like it’s helped me.

Thanks for the link! Guess sometimes we just have to learn the importance of stretching the hard way–that’s what happened with me too.
