Whelp…the countdown to our wedding is getting pretty real now. There’s just over two months until the big day! Eeee!
My wedding planning to-do list has been getting things marked off left and right lately, which is so relieving. There’s still what seems like an endless amount of little things to do, but I’m just trying to take it one day at a time.
The most significant development is my addressing all of our invites. Once these go out in the next week, I suppose there’s no turning back. Bahaha. Jk, I wasn’t planning to anyways. 😉
As of yesterday, we’ve gotten our first wedding present off our registry, so that was pretty exciting. I pulled a Monica, though, and opened it before Matt got home. (Friends reference.) #sorrynotsorry
Wish me luck as I continue to be productive AF on the wedding front!

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things
Pomegranate Juice – On a trip to the farmer’s market in downtown San Diego this past weekend, I picked up a bottle of this pomegranate juice. I’ve only ever had POM brand, which I really love, and this one also did not disappoint. It’s such an interesting juice, and I kind of drink it like wine. Aka slowly because it has such a strong? flavor. Have you ever had pomegranate juice? I know it catches some people off guard.
The Noble Experiment Speakeasy – Last week I mentioned we were celebrating Matt’s birthday over the weekend, so Saturday night I took him to this restaurant downtown called The Neighborhood. The whole point of me taking him there, though, was to get into the speakeasy hidden behind a wall of fake kegs in the back. I wasn’t able to get a reservation, so we put our names on the waiting list ASAP and hung out in the area until I was contacted. Once inside, it was as cool as I had heard it was. Skulls covering the wall. Candles being the main source of light (hence the terrible quality of the collage below). And bartenders who make authentic, classic cocktails. We both opted for “Dealer’s Choice,” which led to our bartender asking what we prefer for our spirit, and then he made us delicious concoctions based on that. Aside from the massive block of ice in Matt’s first drink that the bartender sculpted himself by hitting it with a spoon, the coolest drink we had was probably a whiskey sour that involved an egg white. Like..what?! This blew our minds, but it was just frothy and delicious. ‘Twas a fun adventure! I highly recommend RSVP-ing to the speakeasy, called The Noble Experiment.
8 Habits of Highly Successful People Who Run – This is a great list of tips that I read on Women’s Running’s website. My favorite one is probably the very first: “Set process goals, not outcome goals.” Regarding my recovery from IT Band Syndrome, especially, this has become really important for me. You can check out the whole article here.
Temporary Fur Child: Andy – We’ve had a fur-child for the past week, and his name is Andy. Matt offered to dogsit for his coworker as she went on vacation, and like all the dogs we’ve watched in the past, we have fallen in love with him. He’s a precious little furball. That face.
The Effect of Eating Healthy – I saw this while perusing Instagram (anyone else waste too much time on there?) and really liked the message. It’s basically how I strive to live my life. I want to be healthy without sacrificing the finer things in life, while also eating without guilt or such restriction that it affects my relationships.

Such a cool idea and love the drink menu! I can’t believe you didn’t mention the birthday date on the phone Sunday!

Oh, whoops. Haha. I just had such limited time to talk to you! I had to cover the basics before getting into anything extra. 😀
