Welcome to my 500th blog post!
FYI: that is exactly how I dance. And I hope you’ve watched that video because it’s ridiculously hilarious.
Not quite sure how I’ve written so many blog posts, but I guess that’s what happens after 2.75 years of being in the “business”. So thanks to my new and long-time readers. Hope the next 500 (ahh!) are a lot better. Haha.
See below for my latest favorites!
These Are a Few of My Favorite Things
Boxing Pads – I went to boxing classes for a month last year, and Matt went for almost two years. Since we both don’t go anymore, Matt has really wanted to get our own pads so we can just box together. So we finally got some hand pads for an at-home workout in our garage. It’s actually really fun to do together, even though I look ridic because my form needs work. Still great for an active bonding session though.
Goat Cheese Guac Burgers with Cheddar and Caramelized Onions – What is this madness?! Drooling over here.
5 Things I Learned from Working in a Test Kitchen – Great cooking tips in this post! There’s definitely a lot to cooking beyond just following what’s written in a recipe, like using your senses instead of just a timer.
Vegan Chocolate Pecan Fudge – Even though my week of being vegan ended, I really want to try this recipe because it’s ridiculously simple with only four ingredients, plus it’s so healthy! Nom nom nom.
Word of the Day – I signed up for this a couple weeks ago because I’m a nerd and love words and grammar (punctuation, however, can suck it because it’s frustrating and weird sometimes). So I get this email from Dictionary.com every day, and I like to think I’m retaining the word of the day and will soon be a human dictionary.
Herb Garden – I have 7 different herbs in our tiny back yard area—6 of which are pictured below. Since moving in about 8 months ago, we’ve gradually found more and more. It’s amazing. The potted plants are the ones that are mine (cilantro, basil, and a weird curled parsley thing). And then already in the ground, we’ve discovered, sage, mint (EVERYWHERE), rosemary (we think), and oregano (which is not pictured because we pulled it thinking it was a weed, but it’s already growing back). Having a garden (and by garden, I mean spread out all over) is the best thing ever. I don’t ever use the sage or potential rosemary, but the others (especially the mint) are definitely being utilized. Soooo awesome to have all of this on hand.

Yay 500! I’m like 15 posts away!
I’ve always wanted to try boxing, haha! So good for anger and stress!
And that fudge <3
I love word of the day things! My daily rip-off calendar is a word of the day one!
Anytime I've tried to grow my own herbs….they die in a week ;(

Yay for almost being in the 500 posts club! And I agree, boxing is definitely good for the stress (I just need better form before I can get more intense so I don’t break myself haha). Oh, and in regards to killing your herbs…Secret: I bought a baby cilantro plant, and it died within a week…so the one pictured is brand new. Mwahaha

Bahaha you have a way with words. And it’s like 3 weeks old, so hopefully it keeps “poppin”
