So I never realized how beyond frustrating setting a wedding date could be. I’ve always really wanted to get married at my college’s chapel because neither of us have a home church, and we obviously can bond over our college. After contacting them this past weekend, I learned that pretty much any date this year was out of the question, which blew my mind because I don’t remember weddings happening that frequently when I was there going to school. BUT after several emails back and forth, we finally found a date that might work.
In May 2016, 450+ days from now, our wedding will happen! I’m beyond pumped to just have a date to work with. It’s a longer engagement than I wanted, but I know it’ll be for the best since we’re having a “destination” wedding in Illinois. Having that extra time will help us get everything figured out without getting too stressed since we’re kind of living in California. Now, we need to figure out the reception venue, so we can set the date in stone.
Yay progress! And now for some favorites.
These Are a A Few of My Favorite Things
Stacy’s Pita Chips Parmesan Garlic & Herb – Soooo these are gone now. Matt bought them, and we have both become obsessed with them. SO DELICIOUS.
Blackhawks Hat – Yay Chicago sports teams! Especially the ones that aren’t hopeless! I just got this hat and am a bit too excited about it. We’re going to a Hawks’ vs. Anaheim Ducks game in a few weeks, and I’ll be rocking this.
Feyonce – It’s like Beyonce but better.
Gizoogle.net – This website cracks me up. It turns any website you gizoogle into an absolutely ridiculous, swear-infested piece of content. I’d give you an example of what happens, but it’s highly inappropriate, so I’m going to let you figure it out.
Sassy Pants – So these are awesome. I’d probably wear them too much. Because I’m sassy a lot. I also need cranky pants.

Sassy pants are so cute! Although wedding planning can be frustrating it is lots of fun. Enjoy this time believe it or not it will go by so quickly. We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary this year. Oh that made me sound old-it’s only bc I got married when I was 10. LOL!

That’s so awesome! Congrats! And I think having a longer engagement will help us have fun with things and tone down the stress level – or that’s the goal at least haha.

SO exciting! Setting the date must make it feel so REAL and amazing! XOXO

Pretty much! Haha. It’s so nice to just have a day to look forward to, even if it’s not set in stone yet.

I gotta check out Gizoozle. Sounds like the rest of my day is mothaeffin spent.
Congratulations on setting a date! My husband and I were engaged for a year and a half as well (got engaged over Christmas, married May a year and a half later). He wanted to wait till he was done with med school, I wanted to get married in Atlanta in May, so once we decided that, we had one weekend that was our option! So exciting!

Aww yay! I like that we have the exact same engagement period. I think May will be a good month. 🙂 Winter’s over, but it’s not nasty hot.
