I’ve got a fever, and the only prescription is…
more cowbell baking.
I’m having withdrawals from making cookies and cupcakes and sweet breads. This P90X nutrition thing is putting a damper on my dessert eating making. Okay, so about 60% of the time I bake sweets it’s because I mainly just want to eat them, but that other 40% of the time it’s innocent. I just like to bake. I’m doing my best to hold back and not use up the chocolate chips ingredients that stare at me daily. Last thing I made were these bad boys:
Funfetti cupcakes with hot pink icing for a coworker’s birthday. Unfortunately, I don’t have excuses like this for awhile, so we’ll see how far I get before I break and make some Greek yogurt cookies or something semi-healthy yet not. I think my strategy will be baking something and making my and/or Matt’s coworkers eat them. That way, I can’t O.D. on what’s left at the casa.
It’s truly amazing how you can bring something into the office and see it disappear before your eyes. Coworkers: you can always count on them for these things.
What About You:
Are you a lover of baking? Or do you prefer being the coworker who “helps them get rid of” the baked goods?
Which do you prefer: cupcakes or cake? I don’t know what it is about cupcakes, but I think they’re 10x better than cake.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things
Mawwage – Bahaha Princess Bride for the win.
Lemon Cake Roll– I’ve seen so many cake roll recipes, and yet I’m always surprised by how amazing new ideas like a lemon-themed one can be to me. Yum!
How to Have a Beach Body– Don’t stress, people. You’ve already got that beach body. Apparently you’re just missing the beach part.
Spider’s Point of View – If only I could inform spiders I do not appreciate their presence in my room. Until then, I shall ask Matt to KILL THEM. P.S. Shout out to my sister for sending me this. She was my bug killer for many years until I was forced to kill my own in college and then got me a man to do it.
Garden Tomato Bruschetta– I’m a sucker for some bruschetta. Love the idea of just dipping some bread into it.
Smart Person – There’s nothing like being in a room of smart people and feeling so inspired by their knowledge. I grew up with people like this, and they continue to make me want to learn about randomness in life. (That is, if you don’t want to run away for feeling stupid. Been there.)
