I don’t usually partake in April Fool’s Day activities, but yesterday, I successfully “pranked” my entire office.
I’ve been planning to do this for a few months, ever since I found the idea online. I’m usually the first person into the office, which made it way easier. By showing up about 15 to 20 minutes early, I was able to finish the deed before anyone (except one person) showed up.
The supplies:
Googly eyes! I spent the morning putting those all around the kitchen—in the fridge, in the freezer, on fruit, on random containers. Here are some highlights:
(My favorites were the cuties and the eggs because they look like little creatures.) It was funny hearing everyone arrive to the office and suddenly realize there were a bunch of eyes watching them. I let it be a mystery for most of the day of who did it, but eventually word got out. Turns out a lot of people enjoyed it and got a laugh out of it.
Here’s a sneak peak of the fridge:
I had a lot of the googly eyes left, and throughout the morning, I kept thinking of places I should have put them. I think I was thorough enough, though, so it’s all good.
Pretty sure we’ll have these googly eyes around the office for quite awhile.
Did you pull any pranks on people yesterday?
Have any jokes played on you?
And now for my latest favorites! Hope you find them as wonderful as I did/do. Have a lovely Wednesday!
These Are a Few of My Favorite Things
Scotchy scotch scotch. We’ve been looking for this Anchorman-inspired ice cream for awhile and finally found it last weekend! I’m not a big butterscotch fan, but let’s just say it’s hard to put this down.
Baby Helmet Art by Paula Strawn. I heard about this last week, and my heart…just…it’s so amazing what this woman does. Babies with underdeveloped skulls often wear these helmets until their body has grown more, and this woman turns them into works of art. I encourage you to check out her gallery because it is so wonderful. What can be an awkward subject for strangers turns into a conversation starter as people admire the fun.
Empire by Shakira. Spotify recently advertised Shakira’s new album to me, so I figured I would check it out. This song is one of my favorites.
Gourmet Style Dipped Apples with Homemade Caramel. Caramel apples are one thing, but these babies take candied apples to the next level.
Printed White Dress. I’ve been in love with dresses lately, which I’m sure was brought on by all the weddings I have this year, and I absolutely love the print and colors on this one.
Walt Disney. I have the fondest memories of watching Disney movies with friends and family as a child and even today. When I look at this picture, I see my sister and I watching all the classics.

Haha, that is the cutest prank! Love it!

Awwww. Love the Disney pic 🙂 Also, the baby helmet thing is amazing. I’ve actually been seeing and hearing of other coworkers’ kids that had to wear one until they were a year old and they hated it!
