The week is officially half over!!
I’m over here doing a little dance because I want the extra sleep, ability to be lazy, and random adventures that come with the weekend. Oh, and if you weren’t aware, I am quite the skilled dancer…
So it’s pretty crazy over here…even though it’s currently 5am…so…in other words, I’m lying. I’m still half asleep…or entirely asleep. Also, I like ellipses.
Hope your week isn’t going by painfully slow like mine. Or if it’s awesome, I hope it’s going slow so you get more of it.
I’m going to stop talking before this gets any weirder.
I present to you this week’s combo of cool stuff:
These Are a Few of My Favorite Things
Dessert Idea: Apple Pops. This seems like a great treat to have at a party or get-together of some sort because it’s indulgent with a touch of healthiness. Seems like a great combo, if you ask me. Oh, and I’ll take the apple s’more, please.
Treat: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwiches. I’m sorry, but I had to post this. It’s so beautiful.
Random: Toast It Coasters. I saw these at someone’s house once, and thought it was the weirdest, most awesome thing ever.
New Purchase: Coconuts Blakely Riding Boot. I have been looking for a pair of black boots for at least a year. Okay, so I wasn’t too diligent until recently. Confession: large calves run in my family. Aka boots that fit are difficult to find. Plus, I’m uber picky. I’m so, so excited about these babies though. Got them crazy on sale, even though I spent more than I usually do on shoes. Christmas money well spent, I’d say.
Healthy Snack: Popcorn kernels. I’m so over bagged popcorn. 1. It’s weirdly expensive for how much you get. 2. I swear, we’re always running out. Matt made the genius decision to buy a container of straight-up kernels a few weeks ago, and it was so worth it. We’ve been making some just about every other day in a pan on the stove. It’s nice to know that we’re stocked on popcorn for quite awhile.
Homemade: Creamy Avocado Citrus Salad Dressing. So, the detox I’ve been participating in has inspired me to try a lot of homemade versions of what I normally would buy pre-made–salad dressing being an example. This recipe seems like it would be pretty good based on the ingredient combo of avocado, honey, jalapeño, cilantro, and garlic. I’ve tried a few homemade salad dressings that were just…”meh”…but I’m hoping to find a good one I can make and keep on hand.
