I’ve got a healthy recipe for you this morning, and it’s way past due.
I go on smoothie kicks every once in awhile, usually drinking them as either a meal replacement or post-workout recovery drink. They’re all pretty similar, using some combination of fruit, spinach, and yogurt. I rarely share the recipes, though, since they ARE so similar. This one seemed worthy of a blog post because it was especially tasty, thanks to the fresh cranberries I never used over the holidays, and filling, thanks to the chia seeds.
I felt like being weird/fancy and drank it out of a martini glass. It makes smoothie drinking that much more exciting.
Cranberry Chia Smoothie is a fruity and super healthy smoothie recipe, using Greek yogurt, fruit, spinach, and chia seeds.
- 1/2 frozen banana
- handful spinach
- 1/2 c Greek yogurt
- 1/3 c cranberries
- 1/3 c blueberries
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- optional: 3/4 c liquid of choice (water, juice, milk, etc)
- Blend all ingredients until smooth.
If you have a crazy awesome blender, you might not need the extra liquid, but I find it’s always necessary to get things moving. Hope you enjoy the recipe if you end up making it!
P.S. Make sure to check out my other smoothie recipes!
