Whelp, it’s been 6 months since I started this little blog, and today I officially hit…
…my 100th post!
Throughout my blogging experience so far, I’ve written about a few significant events, some topics I find interesting, lots of food, and an excessive amount of randomness. Whether you’ve been reading this whole time or this is the first post, thank you so much! It’s nice to know I’m not tooooo boring.
Since this is, more or less, a milestone for Gettin’ My Healthy On, I’ve come up with a list of my favorite posts that you can check out if your heart desires.

Since it’s Monday, I suppose I could tell you a little about the fun Matt and I had this past weekend in Illinois!
Weekend Recap
If you weren’t already aware, Matt and I headed back home to go to his friend’s wedding. Overall, it was fun time!
Seeing as how so much time was spent traveling and hanging out in airports, it was pretty wonderful to actually fly WITH someone. I’ve flown back and forth to California for the past 2 years to visit Matt, and I hadn’t flown with someone else since 2006. I must say, it’s pretty nice to have a buddy to use as a pillow to be bored with you.
Friday was the rehearsal dinner.
Saturday was the wedding! Matt looked pretty spiffy in his tux and top hat.
Around the time I took this picture, I discovered my boyfriend can moon walk. We’ve been dating for over 3 years, and I’m just now discovering his hidden talent. Needless to say, I was impressed.
Sunday we met up with my family! Of course that was amazing. They made the journey down to where the wedding was held, and we all met up for lunch followed by some time wandering a nearby mall until Matt and I needed to go to the airport.
Sis + Bro-in-law…
+ Padre + Matt = very happy Katie.
Now we’re back in San Diego enjoying warmer temperatures. It actually wasn’t too bad throughout our travels, besides a snow storm Thursday night that didn’t affect us too much, thankfully.
Workout
Not gon’na lie—I kind of slacked on the working out over the weekend. I did a workout Friday morning, did some dancing Saturday night, and just took it easy Sunday.
My goal is to start running more. It’s been almost a month since my marathon, and I haven’t ran more than 5 miles at a time. I’m definitely not going to run as often as I was during my marathon training, but I feel as though I should push myself more since I am capable of doing so much more than I am.
Today, I’m thinking I’ll do a treadmill run and a weights circuit.
Seeing as how I’ve been staying up super late this past weekend (aka way past 9pm—my favorite bedtime), I’m going to enjoy a lazy start to the day and break a sweat later when I’m feeling more up to it.
If you had the choice, would you rather workout in the morning or relax and do it later?
I love getting it out of the way first thing in the morning, but I do love lazy mornings.
Where was the last place you travelled to?
Do you have any hidden talents like Matt and his moonwalking?
I like to think I’m good at talking in a British accent. For some reason I always end up talking in one when I have a few drinks. Hmm….

Woo you rock! I love working out late mornings, but alas, that’s only possible on Saturdays.

Yep, I somehow made a habit of working out at 6am every morning when I interned last summer, but I definitely enjoy the extra time right now.

I know this is a little late, but congrats on your 100th post! I have no idea why I didn’t see this before?! That’s great that you got to 100 posts in 6 months. Took me 8 and a half months!

Haha thanks 🙂 Hopefully I can stay motivated posting this often for another 6 months!
