German Pancake

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place an 8x8 baking dish inside with the butter; remove once the butter is melted.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt until most of the lumps are gone.
  • Make sure the butter has coated the bottom of the baking dish, then pour in the pancake mixture.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown and fluffy.
  • Add toppings like powdered sugar, maple syrup, and fresh fruit when ready to serve.
