Green Beans Almondine

Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans, trimmed and wished
  • 2 Tbs butter
  • 2 Tbs olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 Tbs fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Bring a saucepan of water to a boil. Add the green beans, and cook until they start to become tender but are still slightly crispy. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  • In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sliced almonds. Cook until the garlic and almonds begin to brown.
  • Pat the green beans slightly dry. Pour the green beans into the skillet with the almonds and garlic. Cook for a couple minutes until warm, stirring occasionally. Add lemon juice and add salt and pepper to taste.
