My name is Katie, and it has been 6 days since my last workout.
I’ve been waiting for a bad sun rash all over my chest and shoulders to go away, which it almost has, so I think it’s time I get back into the swing of things.
Thinking about going back to my usual running and circuit workout schedule isn’t too exciting though. It’s doesn’t seem too horrible, but what ever happened to doing things for fun? I feel like I’ve lost touch with the fun that comes with having an active lifestyle. This leads me to my curiosity about workout classes.
There are SO many possibilities out there! I love trying crazy new things like the above anti-gravity fitness class.
I’ve only ever gone to one boxing class with Matt, but I’m really curious about the many fitness classes out there. The only problem is…I hate doing things alone—I’m that person that always needs a buddy when trying new things. The only problem is, I’m new to the San Diego area, and all my close friends are thousands of miles away. I’m pretty sure I would love a lot of classes out there, like barre, yoga, spinning, crossfit, or body pump (they all sound awesome) , but I fear I’ll go and be super awkward and looking really out of place because I don’t know what I’m doing…
Ya, like that.
What fitness classes have you tried while flying solo? Was it awkward or fun?
Do you go to any fitness classes regularly?
Have any advice for me?
